The Remote That Does It All
This is the remote to control the Esteem device. It's just a little bit bigger than the size of a credit card, or in this case, my device implant card, which all Esteem patients receive after implant for places like an airport. It is much thicker than a card though! And also very expensive to replace if broken or lost ($500.00) so note to self, check your pockets before you do the laundry!

Cool thanks, so that begs the question...can the airport detectors see the implant in your head? I suppose why not.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I'm guessing at this point now, with a lot of airports having xray, the implant could be seen but always good to have the implant card. I don't know if it will set off the detectors or not. I'll be finding out in the spring though!
ReplyDeleteI have had to fly back and forth several times last year to my Esteem Md and never any problems. Just remember to tell your doctors - no MRI but I had a Cat Scan before my revision surery but just turned the device off first.
